Advent means “arrival” and is a season of preparation before the celebration of Christmas. For four weeks, we remember those who waited for the first arrival of the Messiah and are reminded of our similar posture of waiting for his return. During this season, we remember that God keeps and fulfills all his promises as we stir within our hearts a deeper longing for his soon return.
