Harvest Community Church makes it a priority to encourage each attender to develop a lifestyle of worship. The Bible says that worship must be a sacrifice (Romans 12:1) and Jesus says it must be done "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). Therefore we believe worship is an attitude that can be applied to every part of our lives - not limited to an action that takes place once a week in our worship services.

Still, there are numerous scriptural examples of how we can use the arts to express our attitude of worship, and Harvest has many opportunities for believers to participate in leading our congregation's worship through vocal, instrumental, theatrical, technical, and visual arts.

  • Vocal Worship Team
Be a part of a team that leads the congregation in singing praises at each worship service. Our teams serve on a rotating schedule, leading worship about once each month. Rehearsal is on the Wednesday evening of the week you’re scheduled to sing, and we’re always open to adding new members to our team!

  • Instrumental Worship Team
We have openings for guitarists, bass players, keyboardists, drummers, percussionists, and other instrumentalists to join us in leading worship with our congregation. If you are skilled at one or more of these instruments, we would be glad to find a place for you!

  • Technical Arts Worship Team
Without our technical arts worship team, communication from the platform to the congregation would be lost. Join us as we use current technology to share the important messages of God’s truth. Training is provided.

    • Sound Techs – hands-on control of our worship center sound system.
    • Visual Techs – Project lyrics for worship songs, sermon notes, videos, and other multi-media.

    • Visual Arts Worship Team
Worship is simply an act and an attitude of the heart that gives glory to God, and it is certainly not limited to music. Our Visual Arts Worship Team expresses worship by creating paintings, drawings, sculptures, and more. The pieces that the team creates are displayed in our Visual Arts Worship Gallery to inspire others to worship by using the gifts God has given each of them.

    • Theatrical Arts Worship Team
Our Theatrical Arts Worship Team uses drama as a means by which we communicate and illustrate spiritual principles and as an act of worship. We maintain a roster of individuals who are interested in playing a role in short skits or full-length productions.
