Home - Membership
If you'd like to make Harvest your church home, then please take advantage of our two regularly scheduled events. First, Party with the Pastors will help you get to know the leaders of Harvest. Second, Peak Performance 101 is our membership class that will cover the distinctives, doctrine and direction of Harvest.
If you are not already a member, then please complete a Membership Application. You can find applications at the welcome table on Sunday mornings or click the link to the right and download the application.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. What is membership?
Membership is a commitment to relationship. When you become a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, you commit to growing in your walk with Christ with other believers who share similar passions. Membership is a way of identifying yourself with a church family that will care for you in good times and bad.
2. Why should I choose membership?
Many people never develop the close-knit relationships that are necessary to grow in their walk with Christ. Membership helps foster caring relationships as seen with David and Jonathan, the 12 disciples, and Paul and Timothy. Such relationships are necessary for sustained growth in discipleship. When you choose membership, you choose spiritual maturity.
3. What are the requirements for membership?
In order to become a member of Harvest Bible Chapel, we ask that you do the following:
· Profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
· Be baptized as a believer
· Attend Peak Performance 101
· Complete a Membership Application
4. What are the commitments of membership?
We ask that members understand and agree to the following commitments:
1. I have, by faith, become a follower of Jesus Christ and I have been baptized as a visible way of demonstrating that commitment.
2. I will, with God’s help, seek to grow in my walk with Christ through the consistent disciplines of prayer, Bible study, quietness with God and worship attendance.
3. I will, with God’s direction, pursue an active role in building up the body of Christ through fellowship, service and mutual ministry at Harvest Bible Chapel.
4. I will neither gossip, nor listen to gossip, concerning any member(s) of this body and will, when personally offended, speak directly and lovingly with those involved.
5. I will financially support the ministries of Harvest Bible Chapel by faithfully giving back to
the Lord a biblical portion of my increase.
